Testimonial: “10 September 2015. One day that will be forever kept in the memory of a group of fans that waited at the door of Copacabana Palace Hotel to try and see up close Queen + Adam Lambert. For the fans just like myself that went to the hotel not quite believing we would be able to get close to our idol, God proved that dreams can come true when you believe. It was indeed an UNIQUE moment when Adam came out of the hotel and to attend his fans. What he did, apparently it was a simple gesture, but to his fans, it was special. And not very common coming from a foreigner singer. So when I went to the hotel I expected to see him from a distance. But he exceeded my expectations by far.

Since the end of American Idol I have been following Adam’s carrer and I make his art as an inspiration to my work. His music and personality helped me during a difficult time that I believe all gay people go through and when I thought everyone turned their backs against me and I was completely alone, Adam’s voice surfaced in my head and his songs feeded me, made me want to be who I am today and rose me even without (him) knowing it. I don’t see him as a distant artist to whom I would get close just for a chit-chat, but as a long distance friend that helps me to believe in the power that a great voice has on all of us.

Meeting Adam in person even for a brief moment, having my picture taken with him and getting an autograph were experiences I will never forget because the fan needs the artist for his/her own reasons and the artist needs the fans to expand its deserved recognition.

And I am still here waiting for more songs and always cheering that Adamm’s work continues to win over hearts and ears, because, for a great artist such as himself there’s nothing more needed than his own personality, talent and voice”.
